HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION
There is no holiday destination in the world quite like Punawaitai Station on the East Coast of Central Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.
Set amongst our sheep and cattle farm, a stones throw from white sandy Pourerere Beach, is where you’ll find our accommodation.
The Holiday Accommodation, was developed as an all-year-round beach stay and have been enjoyed by holiday makers, equestrian groups and educational providers for the past 30 years.
The style of accommodation means you are literally staying on our farm. As a working farm, our animals are our livelihood, hence we treat them and their surroundings with the respect they deserve. We know you will do the same.
The Holiday Accommodation is surrounded by a large area of flat, fenced farmland for your use during your stay. The beautiful Pourerere Beach is just 5 minutes away by foot or 2 minutes by car.
The Holiday Accommodation can sleep up to 22 persons. 1 queen bed, 2 double beds, 16 single beds are provided (with mattresses). Tents and camping are encouraged as a learning experience for the children.
WE PROVIDE
We provide all cooking/eating utensils, fridge freezer, washing machine, 2 showers, 2 toilets, gas BBQ, tennis court, farm walks. Cell phone coverage is now available.
YOU BRING
You bring all food, linen, towels, pillows, personals, toilet paper, soap, boats, buckets and spades, trash bags. No Dogs whatsoever!
CLEANING
It is your responsibility to leave the Holiday Accommodation clean, tidy and take all household rubbish away. A cleaning fee of $120 is payable during your stay.
1 December – 30 March
HIGH SEASON
Includes public holidays ie Easter, Queens Birthday and Labour weekends. $20 per person per night subject to a minimum per night charge of $200. A non refundable deposit of $120 per night is required – 4 weeks prior to booking. Plus cleaning fee of $120.
1 April – 31 November
LOW SEASON
$20 per person per night subject to a minimum per night charge of $80. A non refundable deposit of $80 per night is required. Plus cleaning fee of $120.
Children under five are free
i.e. 2 x nights High Season = $240.00 deposit i.e. 2 x nights Low season = $160.00 deposit
To secure your booking a deposit is required at the time of booking of a minimum nightly rate per nights booked. (This is non refundable)
SPECIAL RATES
Childrens groups/clubs, Schools, Scouts, Cubs, rugby, parent bonding, pony clubs, bicycle fests, Duke of Edinburgh tramp and more
Children and Adults $15.00 per night

PONIES & HORSES ARE WELCOME
Holidaying with you and your family, Horse Treks, Pony Club Camps
Charges per day $10.00 per horse
$20.00 per horse and rider visiting for a day only
Wash down of horses with a bucket of water only.
It is your responsibility to collect all manure daily, bags are provided for emptying manure on to the compost heap.
PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY
IMPORTANT DO'S AND DONT'S
NO guns, rifles, air rifles, pea shooters, slug guns, fireworks, sky rockets, crackers, etc of any kind.
NO boy racer antics around the paddock or on the drive.
NO trail bikes.
WATER IS A PRECIOUS COMMODITY
Do not wash your car or any equipment unnecessarily. Keep showers short and ensure all taps are turned off. Holiday makers from the beach are not entitled to use our facilities or do farm walks over our property.
Mattresses are not to be used outside as sunbeds or used in tents outside. They belong in and must stay on the beds in the holiday accommodation. Smoking is permitted outside only. Pick up all broken glass, bottle tops, plastic, cigarette butts etc… Animals graze in the paddock and people use it.
Do not enter or play in any farm buildings or sheds, day or night. Do not play in or near water troughs or creeks.
Keep clear of electrified fences.
